Dark circle is simply the discoloration of skin under the eyes. This is not a big problem, but it makes people look tired, exhausted and unhealthy. The main causes of dark circle are stressed, aging, lack of sleep, unhealthy diet, using more of phones, systems and other such gadgets or prolonged crying.

There are few home remedies that will help you cure dark circles.

Potato :- Grate one or two chilled potato to take out the juice of potato. Take a big cotton ball so that it covers your entire eye along with dark circles and soak it in potato juice and place on closed eyes for 10-15 minutes and then wash it with water. You can also use potato directly instead of juice.

Tomato :- Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one-half teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this juice on dark circle area. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash it with cold water. Do not apply it over the eyes, only to affected areas.

Turmeric :- Mix two teaspoons each of turmeric powder with pineapple juice to make a thick paste. Apply it on the affected area and keep for 10 minutes and take a soft, damp cloth and very gently wipe it thoroughly.

Cold water/ milk :- It is a cold compress, that helps you get rid of dark circles easily. Soak a washcloth in cold water or cold milk. Put it over your closed eyelids for several minutes.

Tea Bags :- Take two used green or black tea bags and place in refrigerator to chill it for about half an hour. Place one tea bag over each eye and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and wash off your face with water.

Cucumber :- You have to take a chill cucumber slices and place it on the eyes for 10 minutes. Wash the area with water.

You can also use the chilled cucumber juice with lemon and apply it on the affected area with a cotton ball. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water.

Rose Water :- Soak cotton eye pads in pure rose water for a few minutes. Put the soaked pads on your closed eyelids. Leave them on for about 15 minutes. Wash it off with water.

Apply Milk and Honey / Yogurt :- Take a normal yogurt (not chilled) or milk. Mix 1 tablespoon of milk or yogurt thoroughly with 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply the mixture with a cotton pad by tapping it on affected areas. Apply one more layer after the first layer dries up and then leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off and apply some moisturizer on it after drying it up.

Egg white :- Rinse your face with water and pat dry. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash it with warm water and then apply moisturizer on drying.
